Anthony is a doctoral student in Cognition and Instruction at the University of Connecticut. He is an Aerospace Physiologist in the U.S Navy and has received a Navy scholarship to attend graduate school on a full-time basis. He is interested in online distance learning and its use within military training environments.

Vanessa is a doctoral student in the Educational Technology program at the University of Connecticut.  She received an M.A. in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph College, is certified to teach elementary grades K-6, and received a B.S. in Computer Science from Siena College. Vanessa is interested in gender differences in educational technology.

Andri is a doctoral student in the Learning Technology program at the University of Connecticut . She received a M.A. in Learning Technology from the University of Connecticut and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus. Andri is interested in how technology can improve learning, as a productivity and cognitive tool ideal for research, networking and collaboration.

Linda is a doctoral student in the Exercise Physiology program working with Dr. Carl Maresh. She received a M.A. in Exercise Science and a B.S. in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from the University of Connecticut. Her research interests include thermoregulation, hydration state, and resistance training for endurance athletes. She is currently the fitness consultant for Nerac, in Tolland, CT.

Aja LaDuke is a third year doctoral student in the Curriculum and Instruction Department of the Neag School of Education. Her interests include literacy and language development, bilingual education, teacher education, and instruction for diverse learners. Aja graduated from the Neag School of Education Integrated Bachelor's/Master's program in 2002. She taught third grade for two years in Burlington, CT before returning to graduate school.

Erin Quann is a first year doctoral student in the Exercise Physiology program working with Dr. Jeff Volek, RD. She is a Registered Dietitian and received her Master's degree in Exercise Physiology this past spring. Her research interests include optimal nutrition and exercise interventions for obesity and cardiovascular disease. She is currently the acting supervisor for the Hawley Armory Fitness and Wellness program and the past president of NGSA.

Tracy is pursuing an M.A. as part of the Adult Learning program, and intends to continue on in the Ph.D program upon completing her masters. She currently holds a BA in Communication from La Salle University in Philadelphia. As the Marketing Coordinator for the Department of Career Services, she is interested in researching the influence of a person's generation on his or her learning and decision-making.

Athena is a doctoral student in the department of Educational Psychology, with a focus in Special Education. She is a reading specialist and special education literacy teacher, and she received her master's degree in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. Athena's research focuses on effective assessment and intervention for students at risk for learning disabilities.

Brandi Simonsen is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at the Neag School of Education. Prior to joining the faculty at UConn, Dr. Simonsen was the director of the Solano Campus of Spectrum Center--a school in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to serving students with disabilities who present with challenging educational and behavioral needs. She has also conducted research on AD/HD, consulted with schools and school districts, taught at the University level, and directed Therapeutic Recreation Centers.
